Location: Hartford, CT (3 days onsite - Hybrid)

Position Summary

The Aetna IT Delivery organization, , Digital, Analytics, Technology (DDAT) organization, is seeking a Release Manager to ensure the successful delivery of software releases by planning, coordinating, and managing all activities across the release lifecycle. The Release Manager is accountable for documentation, governance, and communication throughout ongoing, pre-release, and post-release phases.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure smooth deployments by managing timelines, documentation, and communication across technical and business teams.
• Coordinate release activities across development, QA, and operations teams.
• Maintain release documentation and tracking in QuickBase and SharePoint.
• Facilitate release readiness meetings and ensure pre-release tasks are completed.
• Monitor release execution, troubleshoot issues, and capture lessons learned.
• Communicate release status and manage post-release activities.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience in release management or software delivery coordination .
• Strong understanding of SDLC, CI/CD and QA processes.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with tools like QuickBase, SharePoint, and release tracking systems.

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven track record of fulfilling Release Manager responsibilities, in a large-scale (healthcare, media, technology) enterprise environment.
• Experience with scaled agile (SAFe) methodology

Education

Bachelor's degree Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and experience.
