Accounting Assistant CSD Location Remote in Dauphin County, PA :

THE POSITION

As an Accounting Assistant in the Customer Service Division, you will perform clerical, basic accounting, and typing duties. focusing on the review, processing, approving, and payment of original vendor repair/service invoices. DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position ensures automotive invoices are accurate and in compliance with approved rates and discounts. Work includes answering vendor inquiries regarding payment through researching SAP system or other available resources, inputting all information from repair/service invoice into respective vehicle record in the bureau's fleet computer system for accurate maintenance history of Commonwealth fleet vehicles, and reviewing and processing work orders from the Maintenance Division. The incumbent proofs monthly billing to charge back departments, boards, and commissions for consumable items that were included on invoices and in-house, work orders, processes billing to agencies for reimbursement to the purchasing fund, compiles monthly billing, and distributes back-up materials to appropriate entities.   • Full-time employment.
  • Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, to be discussed during interview process. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Two years of experience performing bookkeeping or clerical accounting work; or
  • An Associate Degree in accounting or business administration including or supplemented by six credits of accounting.
