**Job Title: General Production Worker** Job Description As a General Production Worker, you will play a crucial role in loading machinery according to the specific requirements of each order. You will be part of a team that produces trusses and panels for prefabricated houses, primarily serving contracting companies that build spec houses. This role requires steel-toed shoes, a curved claw hammer, and a tape measure from day one. Responsibilities + Load machinery per order specifications. + Mark lumber needed for each job following training on reading prints. + Ensure cut lumber is directed to the correct line for processing. + Participate in the assembly of trusses, ensuring they conform to specifications. + Work collaboratively in a team of up to four people to assemble and prepare trusses for shipment. Essential Skills + Proficiency with hand and power tools. + Ability to read blueprints. + Experience with wood cutting, carpentry, and framing. + Physical ability to lift over 25 lbs. + Strong attendance and a positive attitude. + Ability to use a framing hammer. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience in inspection assembly and build-out. + Comfortable with saw operation and woodworking. + Previous experience in general production or as an assembler is beneficial. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Shelbyville, KY. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $17.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
