Line Crewing is seeking qualified candidates for the position of CABIN STEWARD to work onboard European river cruise vessels, with full onboard accommodation provided.Experience, Skills, and Character

Previous experience onboard vessels as a hotel chambermaid or cabin steward.; Ability to deal with passengers in a professional and courteous manner.; English and/or German language skills.; Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work unsupervised.; Ability to work flexible schedules according to company standards.;

Duties and Responsibilities

Guest Service & Conduct:

Maintain a friendly and approachable attitude towards passengers and crew while staying focused on assigned tasks.; Assist in welcoming passengers during embarkation and disembarkation when required.; Provide passengers with information about onboard facilities and emergency procedures.;

Cabin & Area Cleaning:

Perform twice-daily cleaning and servicing of passengers’ cabins according to company standards.; Clean corridors within passenger accommodation areas to ensure a tidy and welcoming environment.; Wash cookware, utensils, cutlery, and dishes to maintain continuous availability.; Assist with cleaning and ironing passengers’ laundry as required.; Support cleaning and ironing of vessel linen as provided by restaurant or cabin crew members.; Complete additional tasks, including deep cleaning at the beginning and end of the season.;

Equipment & Property Care:

Ensure cleanliness and proper maintenance of all equipment and other vessel property used during duties.; Handle all equipment responsibly to prevent breakage or loss.;

Teamwork & Compliance:

Follow instructions from the Head of Department, demonstrating cooperation and strong teamwork.; Attend departmental meetings and training sessions as required.; Adhere to the vessel’s security, fire, and safety procedures according to company regulations.;

Appearance & Hygiene:

Maintain a clean and professional appearance, following the vessel’s uniform code while on duty.; No visible piercings while on duty, except regular stud earrings for women.; Keep tattoos covered while on duty.; Uphold high standards of personal hygiene, including short and clean fingernails, neat haircut for men, and moderate hairstyle for women.;
