Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and efficient Prep Cook for Le Burger 4304 for early morning hours. The Prep Cook will play an integral part in maintaining exceptional food standards while working in an upbeat, positive environment. At Le Burger 4304 we take pride in providing uncompromising hospitality in food, beverages, service, and atmosphere. All employees, regardless of position, must strive every day to ensure all four are performing at the highest level possible.

This role involves cutting and water blanching potatoes in a tilt skillet, cooling them in a blast chiller, and then oil blanching them in our deep fryers. Afterward, the fries are placed on sheet trays to cool before being transferred to the walk-in freezer downstairs. You would also measure ingredients and prepare herb sachets and kits with salt and vinegar for the water blanch step.

We are passionate about our pommes frites. While the work may not be glamorous or exciting, it is physically demanding and requires carrying sheet trays of fries up and down stairs. The tasks are not difficult but demand care and attention to detail.

Prep Cook Responsibilities:

· Prepare ingredients by washing, chopping, and measuring.

· Desire to learn and better understand new cooking techniques.

· Inform Sous Chef and Head Chef of low stock items.

· Follow prep lists prepared by Sous Chef and Head Chef.

· Ensure all health and safety regulations related to food handling and sanitation are being enforced.

· Collaborate with other team members to maintain a professional and positive environment.

· Accurately label and stock items in an organized manner in the kitchen and walk-in.

Preferred Qualifications:

· Experience working in a fast paced environment.

· 1-2 years prior prep cook experience.

· Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays.
